Jason Forbach
Jason Forbach is an accomplished American actor, singer, playwright, and filmmaker whose dynamic career has made him a recognizable and respected presence on Broadway and stages across the country. Jason’s Broadway credits include principal roles in several celebrated productions. He is currently featured in the critically-acclaimed revival of Broadway’s Ragtime after his run in A Wonderful World, which told the story of Louis Armstrong the season prior. He starred as Rapunzel’s Prince and later the Baker in the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of Into the Woods. He appeared in the Broadway revival of Les Misérables as Enjolras. Jason also joined the Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera, where he performed the role of Raoul, following his earlier work in the Las Vegas production. In addition to his performance career, Jason is an emerging and award-winning writer. His original play Heathen Hill was recognized by the New Works of Merit Playwriting Competition in 2019, earning a place in the program for its insight and dramaturgical strength. He went on to earn the Grand Prize in the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Competition for his television pilot Brooklyn Pansy, a piece celebrated for its humor, heart, and authentic queer storytelling. Jason is currently preparing for his film directorial debut with The Delicate Medium, a short psychological thriller he penned. The project marks an exciting new chapter in his multidisciplinary artistic career, merging his theatrical background with cinematic storytelling. A classically trained vocalist, Jason holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Missouri and a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory.
